No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Hosting
We have tackled the problem of silent data corruption on all our hosting servers by using the amazing Z file system, or ZFS. The latter is better than other file systems because it is the only one out there that checks all of the files instantly by employing a checksum - a digital identifier that's unique for each file. When you upload content to your account, it'll be stored on several NVMe drives and constantly synced between them for redundancy. ZFS constantly compares the checksum of all files and in the event that any file is detected as corrupted, it's replaced quickly with a good copy from some other disk. As this happens in real time, there is no risk that a bad file may remain or may be duplicated on the remaining NVMes. ZFS needs lots of physical memory to execute the real-time checks and the advantage of our cloud hosting platform is that we employ multiple very powerful servers working together. If you host your Internet sites with us, your info will be undamaged no matter what.
No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Hosting
In case you go for one of our semi-dedicated hosting plans, you will not have to be concerned about silent data corruption as we use ZFS - a high level file system which keeps track of all the files in real time. Whenever you upload a file to your hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. The file will be synced between a couple of NVMe drives for redundancy, so if one drive fails, the other ones will take control. ZFS compares the checksum of all copies on the different drives and when it detects a damaged copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from a different drive. This happens right away, so there will be no danger for any part of your content at any moment. By comparison, all of the other file systems perform checks only after a system failure, but since they don't use anything similar to the checksums which ZFS uses, they will not detect silently corrupted files, so a corrupted copy can be replicated on the other disks as well and you could lose important data. Since this is not the case with ZFS, we warrant the integrity of each file you upload no matter what.
