Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME TLD is the sole TLD planned for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to book john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Existing third-level names remained functional.

Through our firm, you can get your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to alter the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no special stipulations on who can purchase a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.

The .NAME generic top-level domain name extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your native language.
